Teen charged in relation to Holsworthy brawl

A Chester Hill man, 19, will face court today after he was charged with a number of offences in relation to a brawl in Holsworthy last night, February 26.

An 18-year-old Chipping Norton man was taken to Liverpool Hospital suffering a stab wound to the lower back.

Police said a dispute began between the 18-year-old and two others, including the Chester Hill man, at Mubo Crescent near Bena Bena Place at 8.15pm.

Police will allege the 19-year-old and his friend walked to a nearby home where the 19-year-old armed himself with a bat and a knife and returned to the intersection.

A group of men gathered at the street and the 18-year-old and the 19-year-old became involved in a brawl.

Police said when they found the 19-year-old at 10pm at Kesawai Place, he resisted arrest.

He was charged with wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and resist officer in the execution of duty.

The man was refused bail and will be at Campbelltown Local Court today.
