Murder charge

A 31-year-old woman was charged with the murder of a 32-year-old man in Cecil Hills before midnight on Friday. Emergency services were called to Alice Place after reports that a man, a US citizen, had been stabbed. The injured man, believed to be the woman's de facto partner, was taken to Liverpool Hospital but died a short time later from a single stab wound to the chest. The woman was charged with murder. She was granted conditional bail and will face Campbelltown Local Court on April 24.

Home invasion

Police are appealing for information after a home invasion in Ashcroft yesterday at 2.30am. They believe two men armed with small pistols forced their way into a granny flat on Strickland Crescent, waking a 21-year-old female lone occupant. The men ransacked the home but left empty handed. One of the men is described as being of Pacific Islander appearance. The other is of Mediterranean appearance. Both have a thin build, tall and aged in their early 20s.

Missing boy found

An intellectually disabled boy who is easily disoriented was found yesterday, while his friend returned to his Macquarie Fields home on Monday night. Jaydan Patterson, 13, and his friend left their Warwick Farm school at 10.35am on Monday. Inspector Dean Johnstone said security video showed the boys boarding a train at Warwick Farm Station at 11am and at Town Hall before noon. Jaydan was found in Mount Druitt at 6.30pm.
