Main character Patrizio Solitano jnr (Bradley Cooper), has bipolar disorder and is released from a mental health facility after eight months of treatment.
He has lost everything: his house, his teaching career and his wife Nikki.
Pat moves back in with his parents and is determined to get his life back on track and win back his wife. Along the way he meets Tiffany Maxwell (Jennifer Lawrence) and life takes a gradual change.
Also screening is Safe Haven, based on the novel written by Nicholas Sparks.
It follows the story of a mysterious young women struggling to find love again.
Julianne Hough plays Kate, who runs from a secret that threatens to end her life.
She strikes up a relationship with widowed store owner Alex (Josh Duhamel) who has two small children.
In the midst of the two finding new love, Kate's past comes back to haunt her and threatens to put a strain on the new relationship.
Both films are now screening at Event Cinemas Liverpool.
