Restaurants robbed
Green Valley police are investigating the robberies on Sunday of two fast food restaurants just five kilometres apart. Police believe the first occurred at 3.20am when a man climbed through the drive-through window of the restaurant on Cowpasture Road, Hoxton Park. Police will allege he threatened staff and demanded cash but left empty handed. Police said the second incident was at 4.10am when a man again climbed through the drive-through window of a restaurant on Green Valley Road, Green Valley. The offender left with cash after threatening staff with a handgun.
Police are searching for a man described as being about 163 to 165 centimetres tall and of thin build.
Hit with garden stake
Two Liverpool women, aged 37 and 30, were charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm after a neighbourhood dispute on Monday. Police were called to Calabro Avenue at 9am after reports a man, 70, had been injured. Police will allege the man was hit in the head several times with a garden stake. His injuries were not considered life threatening. Police said the dispute was over parking spaces. The two women will face Campbelltown Local Court on March 14.
Cash and phone stolen
Liverpool police are searching for two Islander men following the robbery of a Holsworthy man, 29, on Sunday night. He was on the train from Glenfield to Holsworthy at 11.15pm when threatened by two men who stole cash, an iPod and a mobile phone. Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
