Outstanding HSC results

AL Amanah College's graduating class of 2012 recorded outstanding results in the Higher School Certificate examinations.

With some great individual and group achievements across a range of subjects, three students made the Distinguished Achiever's List in Mathematics and Mathematics Extension 1 for scoring more than 90 in their examinations.

The principal and staff at Al Amanah College congratulated Mahmoud Alwan, Bilal Korhani and Abdallah Abdallah as well as the entire Higher School Certificate class of 2012 on achieving outstanding exam results.

The principal said that the class members of 2012 had reinforced the academic tradition of the school, "building on the meritorious achievements of our previous HSC candidates".

"This year the most outstanding achievements for 2012 belong to Mahmoud Alwan, Bilal Korhani, Abdallah Abdallah and Issa El-Saj".

Most students of the class of 2012 will matriculate to university studies in 2013/14.

Almost 95 per cent of students received offers of acceptance into various universities.

Overall, candidates received band six results in 2012 for Mathematics and Mathematics Extension 1.

The staff at Al Amanah College said they wish their students all the best for the years ahead.
