THOUSANDS of Liverpudlians turned out to take part in the Australia Day celebrations at Woodward Park on Saturday.
Local dignitaries joined residents in celebrating the achievements of the city's Australia Day award winners.
Some of the big local names to take home awards were the Young Adults Disabled Association (YADA), local identity Bob Ingham and Liverpool's youth award winner Michael Rutherford.
Entertainment and food stalls were in good supply and there was fun for the entire family.
