Melbourne Heart defender Michael Marrone has played his last game for the club.
Heart revealed today that the 25-year-old has been sold to a Chinese Super League side for an undisclosed sum.
He will not be in the squad for Sunday's game against Sydney FC as he will be travelling to China.
Marrone earned his first cap for Australa in the recent East Asian Cup qualifiers.
He is Heart's record games holder with 70 appearances. He was a founding squad member, having joined from North Queensland Fury. He began his career at hometown club Adelaide United.
Meanwhile, cross-town rivals Melbourne Victory have "agreed to mutually terminate" the contract of young striker Julius Davies.
Davies had been with Victory for less than a year and played his only two games for the club at the end of last season.
"Julius is a talented young player who unfortunately ran into some stiff competition for places here at Melbourne Victory," coach Ange Postecoglou said.
"While still only 18, he obviously wants to be playing first team football and he’s probably found himself further down the pecking order than he’d have liked.
"We wish him all the best in his future endeavours."
