Deadline extended on feedback

LIVERPOOL and Camden residents will have until Friday, February 8, to provide additional comment on AGL's plans to expand its coal seam gas operations in the area.

The extension follows representations from community groups and local MPs who requested additional time for submissions.

Planning and Infrastructure Minister Brad Hazzard said the views of residents was an important consideration in the decision-making process. "There is clearly a great deal of community interest in this project and I want to make sure that local feedback is received by those who will be assessing the project," Mr Hazzard said.

The extension also follows Mr Hazzard's decision to request the independent Planning Assessment Commission to complete a review of the project, including public hearings. "With the extension of time and the independent review, this project will go through the most rigorous of assessments," he said.
