FINE art is usually associated with galleries, but for David Capra a necropolis is the setting for his latest exhibition.
The Liverpool artist is the curator of Hidden: A Rookwood Sculpture Walk, a compilation of artistic work from around the state that is on show at Rookwood.
The exhibit features installations and sculptures that reflect the environment and nature of the cemetery.
However, Mr Capra says that the inspiration for his own work comes from the Liverpool arts and craft scene, as well as some of the more unusual artistic exhibitions on display around the area.
``[I am] working on some pieces after visiting the Bankstown Lapidary Gem Club located at Blacktown Art and Craft centre,'' Mr Capra said.
``I am creating a variety of items made from plasticine and soldered metal.''
``A visit to the [studio of] deceased artist Giuseppe Bianchi has recently influenced my work.'' Mr Capra also holds art workshops for children around Liverpool.
Hidden runs until July 12.
