A 32-year-old man will face court today charged with a series of robberies in Liverpool.
About 8.30pm on Sunday, December 18, the man allegedly entered a convenience store on Elizabeth Drive and climbed over the counter, threatening harm to a shop attendant unless they handed over cash.
Police said the man was given a sum of money and fled the store.
About 10pm on Thursday, January 5, police said the man entered a fast food restaurant on Memorial Avenue and assaulted a staff member before demanding money.
Police were told the man left the store without any money after a security alarm was activated.
About 11pm on Thursday, January 19, police said the man entered a service station on the Hume Highway and again demanded money from a staff member, leaving with an amount of cash from the register.
A similar incident occurred on Thursday, January 26 at a bottle shop on the Hume Highway and at a pharmacy on Scott Street on Thursday, February 2.
Liverpool police arrested a 32-year-old man at a house in Liverpool. Police said an amount of cash was also seized.
The man was taken to Liverpool police station, where he was charged with three counts of robbery and two counts of assault with intent to rob.
He was refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Bail Court today.
