CECIL Hills music producer and DJ, Corey Soljan, is set to hit the turntables at an international music festival in Sydney this weekend.
The former Westfields Sports High School student and his co-producer Sam Gonzalez make up the duo Bioweapon who produce hardcore, a heavy style of dance music which originates from Holland.
They will feature as one of the few Australian artists at the Defqon1 Festival being staged at Penrith's Sydney International Regatta Centre this weekend.
This is the first time this hardstyle music festival is being held outside of Holland and Corey, 22, said he was looking forward to entertaining thousands on home turf this Saturday.
The pair, whose DJ names are Inverse and Orbit1, are already known for their music in Europe and the UK.
Recently they were signed with Netherlands-based Scantraxx Recordz, the biggest hardstyle record label in the world.
``I started producing music at 15 on my home computer,'' he said.
``We have a big following overseas and here, especially since we signed with Scantraxx Recordz. We're doing Australia proud and leading Australia into the hardstyle music scene.''
The Defqon1 Festival will feature eight different arenas and a line-up of international DJs taking the stage.
